One of GRB’s visionary goals for broadcast program and service expansion is the addition of a public Senior Channel to reach and serve home-based seniors that are vulnerable due to age, mobility, social and/or economic limitations. The power of music and music therapy already has a proven success record.
The new public channel will include a base of familiar and therapeutic musical selections to further enhance the improvements of both the quality of life of the elderly, as well as, the culture of the facility and/or neighborhood in which they reside. Additionally, educational and talk format features programmed for the senior age group will keep them informed and connected to the rest of the world.
Broadcast Services is the initial and most important program initiative of Golden Rule Broadcasting.
The Senior Inspirational Channel
Golden Rule Broadcasting provides a private in-house senior radio/television channel and music therapy services for the senior and directly to wherever the senior resides with permission from the senior healthcare facility.
GRB sends a satellite signal to the television equipment room of a senior healthcare facility for distribution throughout including to individual resident rooms.
GRB’s Senior Channel becomes part of the senior facilities’ regular television program channel offering. The senior resident simply selects The Senior Inspirational Channel as they would any other television program that the facility offers.
When selected as a channel by the senior resident, The Senior Channel becomes a constant 24/7 companion through the residents’ own personal communication device such as their television, fixed tuned solar radio or standard radio located in the resident’s individual room within the senior healthcare facility.
Senior residents gladly embrace this broadcast channel of 84% music and music therapy and utilize it as a part of their daily lives.
In Medicaid facilities particularly, GRB provides radios and/or televisions when available and if necessary to ensure availability of The Senior Inspirational Channel per the senior resident’s desire and request.

Did You Know?
We were named Golden Rule Broadcasting so that we could more easily reach people of all faiths that typically reside in senior healthcare facilities. Most major faiths of the world believe in the principle to “Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.”
THE GOLDEN RULE portrayed in many faiths:
“Hurt not others with that which pains yourself or in ways that you yourself would find hurtful.
One should seek for others the happiness one desires for one’s self”
“Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.”
“Do not kill or injure your neighbor, for it is not him that you injure, you injure yourself. But do good to him, therefore add to his days of happiness as you add to your own.
Do not wrong or hate your neighbor, for it is not him that you wrong, you wrong yourself. But love him, for The Great Spirit (Moneto) loves him also as he loves you.”
TRADITIONAL RELIGION of AFRICA:
“One going to take a pointed stick to pinch a baby bird should first try it on himself to feel how it hurts.”
“What you wish your neighbors to be to you, such be also to them.” (Pythagorean)
“We should conduct ourselves toward others as we would have them act toward us.” (Aristotle, from Plato and Socrates)
“Act toward others as you desire them to act toward you” (Isocrates)
“Thou shalt LOVE thy neighbor as thyself: I am the LORD.”
“Choose for thy neighbor that which thou choosest for thyself.”
“Not one of you is a believer, until he desires for another that which he desires for himself.”
“Do not unto others what you would not have them do unto you.”
“If one strives to treat others as he would be treated by them, he will come near the perfect life.”
“Pity the misfortunes of others; rejoice in the well-being of others; help those who are in want; save men in danger; rejoice at the success of others; and sympathise with their reverses, even as though YOU WERE in their place.”
