Our Founder Dawn Stallings

Dawn Stallings holds a degree as an Honors Graduate from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism-Radio-TV-Film, Cum Laude. She has worked extensively in broadcast sales & marketing in Houston since 1979 at various classical, news and oldies radio stations, a radio traffic network, at both independent and network television stations and owned her own marketing company.

Besides working over 30 years in the Houston broadcast arena, Dawn has served in philanthropic efforts to and for seniors for over 20 years including as Executive Board Member: Generation’s Senior Chair, for Luis Palau’s Cityfest Houston and as the Nursing Home Director for four years at Lakewood Church, Houston, TX.

Dawn also serves on the board of Lackey Ministries/Love Botswana as the Founding Board Member since 1987. She has previously served on the boards of Restoration of Women’s Virtues and Song of the Spirit Ministries.

Cameron McConnell
Chairman of the Board

Cameron J McConnell is the Founder and Chief Innovation Officer of Build to Prosper, a division of the McConnell Group, LLC.  MGLLC is a consulting firm that specializes in helping business owners earn sustained pretax profits that are reinvested in innovation.

Cam holds a Master’s degree in business and combines his pioneering Business Modeling Methodology, (BMM), with his CPA background to consistently help business owners build their business. Beside his outstanding 40 years of business accomplishments, Cam is also the author of Build To Prosper, the new manual for innovation.  He travels globally to teach in seminars, conferences and business colleges.

Jo Ann Lofton
Vice President

Jo Ann Lofton is a native Houstonian and has a vast background in the banking arena.  She has held positions in Business Development and as a Vice-President at Encore and Cadence Banks.  

Jo Ann excels as a personal banker understanding the value of relationships.  She is currently the Sr Vice President of Origin Bank’s River Oaks Banking Center in Houston.

Gracie Perez Secretary

Gracie Perez, a native Texan, excels in bookkeeping and as the office manager for Nathan Segal over the past 20 years.

Gracie volunteered as an active member of Lakewood Church’s Nursing Home Ministry and faithfully served for four years.

Gracie, her husband and their two sons consistently volunteer for GRB’s Comfort Basket outreaches throughout the state of Texas

Verenda Hodge, Board Member

Verenda Hodge, a successful Realtor, is an ordained minister who presently attends The College of Biblical Studies through a scholarship from Inspire Women.  She is an active volunteer with Anita Carmen and Inspire Women and in 2012, was featured as a Top Inspire Women’s Mentor.   

Over the past five years, she has done community outreach for Star of Hope and serves as a Group Counselor.  For more than ten years, Verenda has served faithfully at Lakewood Church, Pastor Joel Osteen, as a Prayer Partner and facilitator with Celebrate Recovery. 

A featured speaker and presenter at faith-based conferences, Verenda considers being a full-time mother and grandmother her ultimate calling.

Michelle Boudreaux, Board Member

Michelle Boudreaux, board Member, has taught sales training for local media such as KPRC/NBC and the Houston Chronicle.  As Co-Founder of “Twins for Christ” with her twin sister, Monique, Michelle has faithfully served as a volunteer and employee at the Star of Hope Mission.  Her ministry has been the proud recipient of the “Volunteer of the Year Award” for excellence in service to Houston’s Homeless Mission –The Star of Hope.  

Michelle has served on various ministries over her past twelve years at Lakewood Church including as a prayer partner, choir singer and benevolence ministry member.    She is currently completing her Biblical counseling degree at the College of Biblical Studies.

Michelle and her husband Attorney Rogers Boudreaux, Jr. have been married for over twenty years and have two sons: Rogers III and Alexander.  Michelle has always enjoyed serving, uplifting and encouraging others as she continues her journey of being a Kingdom Builder in the earth.

Sonia Gonzalez, Board Member

Sonia Gonzalez is a creative, broadcast professional specializing in promotion and production.   She has worked at KRIV-Fox 26 in Houston for sixteen years!

Sonia has a big heart when it comes to volunteering and does so for many Houston area non-profit organizations.  For Golden Rule Broadcasting Sonia helps with social media and public service announcements. 

Mary Ann Wootton
Board Member

Mary Ann Wootton has over 30 years of marketing and public relations experience.  She loves to use her gifts and talents to extend the Kingdom of God around the globe.  Mary Ann enjoys her many roles as a sister, mother, grandmother, and Bride of Christ.
